I provide a comprehensive design service to all project types be it a small private garden or landscaping a large public space.
I have experience working with Architects at brief and concept design stage to ensure the integration of the garden design with the architecture.
Initial consultation and brief taking on site with client (and architect if applicable).
Concept design - production of a sketch proposal for agreement.
Design development - more detailed development of the proposal which would include perspectives and images of proposed plants as well as an outline of the cost.
Detailed design - fully detailed planting and landscaping layouts with an itemised breakdown of costs.
Tender documentation - detailed drawings for subcontractors if required.
Site supervision administering the contract to completion.
A design fee bid would be made at concept design stage and is dependent on the scale and complexity of the project.
Esther will advise on selection of landscape contractor. Should any other aspect of the design need to be installed by specialist sub-contractors they will also be supervised by Esther who will make regular site visits. This guarantees the integrity of the design at all stages.
Gardening and horticulture training is available for clients who have commissioned and completed a garden design and who wish to develop their skills and knowledge. I hold a City and Guilds Adult Teaching qualification and also have experience working with small groups of children on numerous gardening projects from vegetable growing to routine maintenance.
